Question Double Window Pane Issue

Hey Guys. I just brought a 1997 S500 seden. After driving for about a week, I notice that the right side passenger window started acquiring condensation between the two windows once I turned that AC on. Over time it drys when the car is off. Once it drys, it leaves white patches of spots on the windows. I am not sure what is causing this to happen. Any advice.

Also, where can I get a key/remote replace from besides that dealership. What is the $ amount. Thanks in advance.

Never saw that before. My DP glass appears to be open at the top whereas yours looks sealed. Am I correct? Is there a difference? I guess an open DP would not get condensation, but wonder if it is really open, or just looks open. Never really checked.

Don't believe everything you think

Why does Chucky have a different, but nearly identical, thread here.

Is it moisture or some dirty water that has worked itself in between leaving a mark? If it is just a bit of moisture I would put the car in teh garage and run a de-humidifier and just seal it up. If it is a stain the glass will have to be opened up and cleaned, but because of what that would take it may just be easier to get a new one.

Hehe, you could throw a stone at it and get insurance to pay. J/K

Oh also, I see the origional poster has a 1997 W140, the glass is different the W140 has double glazed windows with a air space in between where the 220 is two bits of glass sealed together.

Is it possible to have someone to separate the DP and clean/reinstall?
