Same with both of my vehicles. I have followed the instructions (for my rolling code garage door openers).

mine too

Mine doesn't work either. I followed the instruction and tried to get it set up probably 6 times to no avail. I was bummed because that's a neat little feature. Oh well.

with the ML and new garage doors you need to follow the same instructions but you need to push the button by the light on the garage door opener. I should be a red button. It has to do with rolling code stuff. I had to do that with both the ML55 and the E55

Good luck

I can remember (a few years back) when I got my wife 00E320. I was trying with the instructions in the manual, it does not work. My garage opener has rolling code (brand is Lift-master, but made by Genie), if you have the same brand (or similar), try this : get a step ladder, look at the side of the opener, there is a door size 3 by 2 1/2 inches), pry open the door (use the flat head screwdriver), inside the is a RED square button), hit that button the light on the opener will flash, get the cars key into the ignition, turn on position 2, hit the mirror's button (what ever you prefer to program it) ,you have only 1 minute to do this. The light on the button you hit will learn the code from the garage opener, when the light on the garage opener (Lisf-master) stop flashing, it means that it added another garage opener to it (instructions manual DO NOT say this), bingo, you are set . Anyone still can not program, call MB for assistance (I called them ,but they told me to take the car to the dealer), I did some research to get this rolling code to accept to my 2 MB's car, beside my 2 regular Key Pads (whick no longer used).Good luck. PM me if anyone need help.

I have a Lift Master too and just programmed the remote opener on the mirror of my '99. It woks now, but apparently the code sequence changed and now the hand held opener that came with the door doesn't work. I guess I need to do both of them at the same time.

BTW, it gets program just like the post above indicates.

You may have some old codes stored in your Homelink too. If so, you have to reset the unit and clear all the codes before you can store new ones.
