Question My Air Conditioning gets warm-

Well, my air conditioning is going from really cold for a couple minutes to getting outside temperature...Does anyone have any idea what this may be caused by? Because here in NY it's been really hot and humid and I need that AC! But if you know anything about Air Conditioning or you've had this happen to you please let me know because I really need to fix it! Thanks in advance, [/b] Well, my air conditioning is going from really cold for a couple minutes to getting outside temperature...Does anyone have any idea what this may be caused by? Hi, I think I know the problem... My dad's truck had the same issue a year ago... It sounds like your out/ low on freon. Freon is a coolant that your car uses for a/c. Depending on what state you live in, it might be illegal or legal to put it in yourself.. (I would'nt recommend it, unless you know what your doing) I would just go to a basic mechanic and ask them to refill your freon... Should solve the problem..

Air Conditioning gets warm-

If you plan on doing it yourself, charging the system, be very careful. I actually blew up a hose when I was filling a system. I have made it a point not to refil my system, just too dangerous in my opinion.

Buy small control gauge for about $15 and check the low side of AC, while it is running. Those gauges have printed zones of correct pressure on them.
