I know you all probobly have preferences, but does one really work better then the next? If you know a cleaner that works really well please let me know!! Thanks, Mike

My CLK 430 had about 100k on it (I'm the second owner). I decided to try one of the STP injector cleaners in it. It was about $6. I have about a 104 mile round trip to work each day, so I'm very aware of my mileage. Since running the cleaner through the tank, my mileage immediately increased 1/5 MPG. That was about 4 months ago, and my mileage hasn't dropped off. There may be better out there, but i was pretty happy with the reults.........I honestly didn't expect to see any improvement.

I've used Techron in both my injected and carburated cars with noticeable results.

I appreciate all your guys' help!! I've been using Lucas, but I'm thinking about either switching to something else, or just replacing the injectors..because the person before me put garbage fuel in and most likely completely clogged them. So It might just be less expensive in the long run to just change 'em out!

Some old time mechanics recommend adding the occassional bit of naphta ( a few spoons ) to a tank. I got mine at home depot. Also, for a cleaner engine they once in a while like to add some ATF fluid to the motor oil (lots of detergents), and drive no more than100 miles before an oilchange. On my 8 liter plus system I use up to a quart. Cheerio, Teutone (aka Horst K)

I had the injectors in my SL replaced with brass ones. Due to the rust you can apparantly get from the increasing ethanol content in petrol and the fact rust had already damaged my iron injectors. This ethanol component in the fuel holds water and can cause rust down the track.

It runs perfectly at the moment and on 98octane I get about 10lt\100kms.
