$12,000-$20,000 Limit, Please help

Hi, I love Mercedes, but I need help finding one. I just started driving, and am looking for a Mercedes, I would prefer a 2000 or newer, but giving my price range, I understand I can't get much. I like S500's alot, but the price is too high. I have a 99' ford explorer xlt loaded ($8,000) at the moment. If anyone knows of any Mercedes for sale in my price range, and its decent, please tell me. Im very intrested.

20 grands will buy you 2001 E320?
Or 2002 ML320
Plenty of ML available on CA market. Where are you?

You just started driving? MBs are not cheap to maintain, you might need some of that cash for that purpose. Buy wisely.

A lot depends on where you live. If you have mostly warm weather, an SLK would be nice.

hi again, thanks for all the response. I live in Wisconsin, so no the weather here is not the best in the winter, lol. If someone did have a car I was intrested in, I would be willing to drive a couple hundred miles. Minniapolis, Chicago, Milwakee, I would drive about that far. I understand that these cars are not the cheapest to maintain. Im not that worried about the insurance because I have almost all a's in school and a couple of b's. Also I have nothing bad on my record. I am most intrested in buying a mercedes car, but I would consider that E320.

I bought my E320 4-Matic wagon in Minneapolis, drove via Wisconsin to Chicago and from there, carrying over 1000 bottles of Polish beer back to California.
Wouldn't mind to repeat it. Still love the wagon. It is smoother, than ML, but will not pull the boat.
The beer is gone

Why don't you try autotrader.com... I found about 78 2000 or newer mercedes under 20 grand in WI, and some of them with low milage to boot. Might want to give it a try.
