Unhappy 560SL Thermostat heat range??

Just recently replaced a 'green thermostat' for my 1987 560SL supposedly an OEM part for this model. Does anyone know the temp range on this switch. I noticed cooling fan doesn't come on even past the 90 degree mark. Thank's for any info.

I assume you meant the thermostatic switch that goes on top of the engine, ahead of the idle control valve. It's also called the 212 switch. Guess why.

If the aux fan doesn't come on at all, I'd check if once past 90C, the electrical plug for the aux fan is getting juice. If not, check: 1) the fuse, 2) the relay.
