Have you considered the power steering? I've driven deisel utes with no power steering and it's horendous making 90 degree turns in them, but it does lighten up (almost too much) at higher speeds.

Make sure that you have evidence in writing (a work order) that you had complained about the issue *before* your warranty expired. You may have a problem with your steering rack or power steering and you definitely don't want to have to pay for that yourself.

how can i make sure to get that work order?? my warranty will end this July , and the weird thing is that service guy ask me to wait for 2 weeks and they will lend me another E 500 for me to drive for a week. But still it will not solve my problem( heavy steering wheel???) why won't they admit that there is something wrong with the car and fix it??? is that something really difficult to do for benz??

2003 e-class have a parameter steering or a power steering??

One Cannot compare a E class to a A class .. The A class Does NOT weigh as Much as a E class... The E class W211 Does have Varible assisst steering..Lighter feel at low speeds ..IF The Tires are Inflated to correct specs..ask to talk to a Shop foreman or mercedes DSM

I Would drive a couple different W211 to compare the difference
