Thank you. That is what I figured, and I hope you get a good response. But I warn you, the members of this site do not represent anything approaching a real cross-section of MB owners. I suspect that 98% of all MB owners have never heard of this site--and wouldn't waist a mouse-click to visit it. It is my suspicion that the average age here is less than half of the average MB owner. I am NOT being critical of this site in any way--I quite enjoy it myself. But I have owned MBs since 1970, and I only found this place when I became desperate to find some new wheels for my 6+ year old MB. I suspect that you already know this, but Internet forums attract mostly the very young and very weird
, in any numbers. So I hope you factor that into your analysis of the data you obtain.
Non-the-less I wish you well in your quest for information that might help to improve the lives of all car owners--and dealers and manufactures. Might I also request that you "copy-and-paste" your abstract
into this thread for all of us to read. I understand how long theses and dissertations can get (having written one of each myself), but I have never seen one w/out a brief abstract on page one. Although I know sharing it w/ us might affect how and what you say, I think you owe it to us to report back--when we spend this much time to help you out.
I should also mention that some of the feedback you receive here is likely to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek--to say the least--based on the probable youth of our membership.
I would like to receive a full copy of your full thesis when it is finished/published.
