trans and center air vent on 1992 300e, 197 miles

Help, I have a 1992 300e the trans will not change in first gear for 2 mins when driving unless i let the car warm up. I can feel a little jump when changing from first to second gear, it seem to leak a little very little but other than that no problems. Do i need a new transmission ? if so where in atlanta would be a good place and whats a fair price ?
I also cannot get the a/c to blow from the center vents, Dealer says maybe evalporator problem, any ideas ?

Cris, Before you go replacing your transmission check that the fluid level is correct. It must be checked with the engine running after at least a ten mile run and should be at the top mark on the dipstick when fully warmed up. Can't help with the aircon.
