Original DAS System - HELP!!!!

Hello,

I'm having troubles with the original Mercedes DAS system. Everytime I try to initiate the diagnostic it says "Fault in PC - Diagnostic Multiplexer link!" Voltage Supply - Cable

I checked all COM configuration, but get the same message all the time. I hear the clicking on the multiplexer and them message pops up right on.

Would you have any information that could help me on this?

Thanks,

RE: Original DAS System - HELP!!!!

What year and model? I am guessing 1998 if you said original DAS, but the model may help.

Here is a great piece of info on DAS posted by rudeney in the W163 forum.

RE: Original DAS System - HELP!!!!

Diagnosis Assistance System (DAS). check the fuse. be sure the cables are properly connected to the diagnostic socket. can you see the the green light on the multiplexer? if it lights up, then check the link between the multiplexer and the computer.

hope this helps.
