First Benz! Thought I'd share

Just got my 2003 Mercedes C240. Got it from a guy whose company covered the first year and a half of payments and only had put $2,000 down, owed $16,000 on it and only wanted his expenditures back. Therefore I got the car for $18,000. It has 28,500 miles on it, black exterior, ash gray interior, 2 years left on Mercedes extended warranty, 6spd manual, no problems with the car ever. Thought I'd just share

RE: First Benz! Thought I'd share

Thank you, now I'm going with the Pioneer AVIC-D2 in-dash DVD/Navigation system (should have it installed next week) and I have to decide on rims.

What do you think, the Carlsson 1/16 or the Brabus Monoblock VI?

Wow! You got one helluva deal![:0]

I think the Carlsson rims look nicer.

What a deal! Man, I didn't think they made ANY with manual, let alone 6 speed. Lucky you. Good luck with the low-profile tires on our New Jersey roads.

Congrats on your C. I love C's!

I prefer the Brabus wheels, but I definitely agree that you're asking for trouble with 19s.

RE: First Benz! Thought I'd share

Thanks everyone...yeah I was lucky enough to grab the 6spd manual, as it's a specific order only option. I'd actually test-driven the automatic C240 first and let me tell you, the 6spd manual REALLY helps the pick-up on the car and really makes it a sportier drive. I'm quite excited for my future MB memories.

RE: First Benz! Thought I'd share

Welcome and Congrats! Nice car, good deal. I'm surprised about the 6-speed too. Is the car U.S. original? What is that round badge on the trunk?

Carlson, but I'd go w/ 18" at most for your preformance wheels and tires (18x8.5 and 18x9). In NJ you might want to consider getting a set of winter tires on the OEM wheels and putting high preformance tires on the Carlsons. FWIW...

Don't believe everything you think
