How can I find my correct Engine Application on my Mercedes?

I'm trying to order a couple ignition coils for my 97 Mercedes c230 from here;

http://www.drivewire.com/mercedesparts/catalog/mercedescignitioncoil.html

As you can see about half way down the page, it lists two different ignition coils for my car depending upon my Engine Application.

What is that and how can I find the correct one for my car? I've searched everywhere. Are they just the same for my c230? From what I've researched, I think that is right but I don't want to put the wrong part in the car. I'm going to order these on Thursday 03/03 Can someone help me look it up somehow before then?

The parts stores are all clueless when I call them.

Your engine number is 111974 12 026564, so it looks like you need that second coil. The first one looks like it's for manual trans vehicles.
