Charlee-you "may" get one, two or even a dozen more turns of the Key, until one day, it's over! No more turning of the Key.

I recently went through this Trauma, look up my name and the posting. It's all detailed there.

I imagine you have gone through all the basic minimums. Changed your FOB Battery. You have a fully charged Car Battery ( verified that it's fully charged). If the car battery is not holding a charge, you will have a terrible time even getting the car started.
OK all that done and said with. It "may" be your EIS. Engine Information System, otherwise known as the Key Hole. Within that key hole is a mess of computers, circuit boards and doohickeys.
Dealership replacement, towing, surcharges and typical add-ons-we're looking between $1,200-$1,500.

However, if you believe it is the EIS Unit and no others and you can pull it yourself you can save a BUNDLE OF MONEY.
Downtown will be several days to pull the unit
Ship the Unit to M & B Specialists in Pompano Beach, Florida.
They are recommended by this Forum and they repair Mercedes components, CHEAPLY!
Give them no less than one full week to troubleshoot and repair and return.
Total Turnaround Time is 2-3 Weeks. So prepare yourself.
I just repaired mine and it's working beautifully. Thank you M&B
Look them up on the Internet, too.

GOOD LUCK.
You are going to need it.
