RE: Oil Change Interval
You need to learn how to analyze the issue.
Cleaner oil doesn't mean it is better. Detergents, that are part of today's oils suppose to wash out some burning cycle residue, so clean oil MIGHT indicate something wrong.
When you see clean water coming out from your dishwasher after the washing cycle, you would suspect something wrong, wouldn't you?
You can also get the oil even cleaner by dumping 1/2 of bleach into the crankcase, but don't expect extended engine life with this procedure.
So unless you make the laboratory test what the color change is coming from -all is just speculation.
The same apply to Slick50 analyze. When they started to advertise that stuff, they promised miracles, than the competition proved that miracles doesn't happen.
Bottom line is, that the stuff help, just is NOT doing miracles. Years ago I was putting over 50 miles daily commute. The same route, the same speeds, each fill up showed steady 32 MPG on my VW.
I added some molybdenum stuff (not Slick 50) and after driving about 500 miles my steady mileage went to 35 MPG. That's a proof to me.
