Front-end and/or Four-wheel alignment
I understand there is a 'special tool' to determine the 'rear ride height' for a 300CD Turbodiesel. Most alignment shops around here charge $60 to $70 for a four-wheel alignment with the latest alignment machinery - THE SAME EQUIPMENT THE MERCEDES DEALER HAS - however the Benz shop wants $189.95 for the same alignment service.
THE QUESTION: there must be a work-around so that numbers (close enough) can be placed in the left and right rear ride height positions on the alignment machine so that the rest of the specs appear and the technician can perform the four-wheel alignment.
Anybody out there know something about this?
