RE: Window Tint Removal
Hey there all.Benz enthusiast and also professional window tinter.I specialize in mercedes window tinting ,therefore any questions i would be more than happy to answer. To remove the film on side window a spray bottle with water and 3 or 4 drops of baby shampoo is the way to go ,with a flat edge (stanley) razor blades.usually come with a yellow handle.Peel film off and remove glue using a generous amount of "soap solution" and razoring. For rear windows mercedes have two types of rear windows on different models. Some have the defroster insode the glass where you can't feel it .This can be razored as well.just like the side windows. But if the vehichle has regular defroster lines, copper pads used to clean pots and pans do the job or 00 or 000 grit brillo pads from home depot.(this is after the film is removed and the glue is left)A generous amount of "soapy solution" and elbow grease. If it seams very difficult (over 2 hours) you might want to try 1/2 water 1/2 amonia(lemon scented for better scent) and 3 drops of baby shampoo .soak the rear glass with making sure you dont get much on the deck and over the leather.(be careful) and paste a garbage bag to the back glass.(inside the car) and let it sit for a couple of hours. This will keep the soultion wet and seaping into the glue. This will make your job alot easier.
