Ok, so come March 30th I'm getting a huge investment refund from my employer, around the realm of 18k, of my money.
Now my friend and I want to Modify a CLK 500, he is putting in 1000$ and I am putting in the 18k plus my father is giving me the money for the mods.
Now Personally I do not know how much he is willing to pay for them, but he understands, that the rims for my current car (a 05 Cobalt, cost 1000$). So I figured around 6000$ would be a fair price to ask him for.
There is a 3rd player in this, my uncle, who is very rich, he owns a sports car team, that races, and has his own auto shop. His guys will do the modifications, and select the tires for my car, which will hopeful save me some money.
Now the car I have now is worth about 13000$ (I bought it for 15,300$) and I would like to make my new CLK the BEST looking car on the road, and at the club.
I live in Washington DC and March 30th, I will buy the CLK 500, and drive it off to Montreal, with my friend driving a Uhaul Van with the parts in it.
These are the Candidate Cars, now I know most of these will be sold in 45 days, but it is about the price range I am looking at:
around 34.5k and I do not think this price will go down much in a month and a half. It seems VERY consistent.

Now I am wondering what I can reasonably cut, without running the car.
The Logos, and Body kit are a MUST, so are the rims, I mean how else will you know it is a Brabus?
Now I could get 4 sets of 8.5 wheels, but then it would not have the bigger rear wheel look. What do you think about this?
Body Modifications Alone are a definite no no , because then it will seem like a cheep job, nobody went under the body work, so exhaust is absolutely needed. Same with Lowering Springs as the car would look too high without them anyway.
The illuminated Door Sills tell you in bold blue, aha it is a Brabus!
So what we can work with are the Shift Knob, the Door Pins, and the Mats. (I know Sad, but please offer all suggestions.)
The pins, tell you when you touch them to go in and out (for the passenger) that it is a Brabus. The mats, replace the Mercedes logo'ed ones, and the shift knob also has a Mercedes logo on it, so it must go too...
Realistically I could cut the shift knob (300$), but the main thing I would like to know is, if I am missing something blaringly obvious that would save me a few hundred dollars. Or what you guys think is not necessary.
Also, which of these modifications void the warranty, and how badly?
I will also need to get 2 gallons of clear coat black obsidian paint, (200$), and put it in the uhaul truck. So offer as much input as possible as to any aspect of this. (trade in, used car, parts, where I can find 4k laying around)
I want to keep the whole thing under 40k and my dream has ballooned to 42 right now.
