Or as Peter said, it means that the computer "thinks" there is no charge in the system. Please read my post above. I changed that sensor two years ago and did not have to charge the system and it is still cooling just fine. Total cost to fix the problem for me - $32. Now it is possible that yours does need a charge, but the service bulletin from Mercedes says to always change that sensor whether you need acharge or not, so why not change it and see if that fixes it?
