Blower won't work

I had the battery replaced in my 1997 e320 the radio didn't work and the fan won't blow i got the code for the radio but now the fan still won't blow help

Check first the fuse for the blower,then check the ac control unit/push botton if this parts are good you have to check the blower resistor.

those models have a blower resistor (little silver box with blue and red wires on top of blower) that processes the step-less blower speed. early units were made in france and had a high failure rate (sorry[V]) remove the blower and bench test it: hook + to the red wire and - to the other one on the motor itself. make sure the motor is secure because the torque will toss it off your workbench. if motor runs, regulator is bad, otherwise replace motor and the required new under dash cover.
