RE: Useful 'suitcase' for SL

wow. i have not seen too many pictures of the SL with the roof down. I know their wasnt much room, but wow. There really isn't much room at all in there. Thanks for the pics Corkscrew.

I like the little cargo net you have there. At least that comes with a $130,000 car.[:D]

nice car Corkscrew[:)]

Thanks....yes, that odd shaped space lends itself more to several smaller odd shaped bags rather than one conventional suitcase.

Back in Arizona (I think it in is Cave Creek), there is a gentleman “Mark Passerelli. His specialty is restoring classic Mercedes-Benzes, especially SLs. Anyhow, he had a open house party about a year ago, and some of his restored SL were equipped with Louis Vuitton suitcases. That was real beauty!!!
It looks like he has open house party every year.

These pics from his webpage.

Check it out.

I love the SL55 Corkscrew. The case is good as well. One question why is the roll bar up? I thought they only went up when the computer triggered it for safety reasons?

The roll bar can also be raised and lowered via a pair of buttons. When being moved this way its pace is much more relaxed than when it is operating on its own in an emergency. Also it can be raised only partially if you like.

I could also do this on my 1992 500SL.
