How did you make it fit? I had to grind one of the nipples and now have the "check the bulb" warning.

MB has it's own brand of light bulbs? I thuoght you could stick some Silvania Silverstars in it. So how much would a set of H7's cost?

there are plenty of different light bulbs. You just have to get the right one. Plus, this was on my w126 560SEL, and the w126s have the easier, more simpler ligh bulbs that you can find in a lot of places. When i had to replace he bulbs on my S500, it was quite difficult, but i found them. At Kragen auto parts.

BURGUNDY 1989 560 SEL (W126) - Sold

RE: Cops more merciful on Mercedes drivers?

Yeah! the older models had standard light bulbs.
When the H7 headlight bulbs fits OK, the smaller bulbs in taillight have different wattage, than the common one. I made the standard bulb fit (have whole box of them and don't feel like spending $$$ at the dealership for more) but the computer sense the difference and gives me the warning. I heard that on some models wrong bulb will disable cruise control, or other stuff.
