In the options that u can program via the dash display, i think it would be a good idea if there was an option to have say the parkers / foglights on all the time when driving and still have the lights set to auto, so when it got dark the actual headlights came on too, this is because i normally drive with the foglights on all the time and its kind of annoying turning them on manually each time !

What does anyone else think ?

I think it's actually an option with newer models. You request daytime running lights be activated and they can do it at the dealership.

But everyone needs to quit whinning..... if you want them just reach over and turn your damn lights on. I know it's so tough to reach all 5 inches and twist the switch.....

I think the newer models can be activated on the dash display.

He's saying having DRLs but with the parking lights and fogs on at the same time in Auto mode.

In the MLs, you can't have the fogs on unless the switch is in the full on position. Or at least that I know of. I heard that the newer models, can have fogs on in Auto mode.

You can have foglights on with parkers on the ml, just turn your parkers on then press the foglight button, and also as for newer models, you cant have fog lights on in auto mode !

Fog lights aren't an issue during the day overcast or not. Fog lights that aim up like driving lights, now that shits me.

I agree with daytime driving lights on Fogs or Heads. I have my wifes set up that way to keep her safe, however I have my turned off because I dont need the police looking at me any closer since I tend to drive a little faster. I am not overly fast, just usually about 10 miles over so try to stay a little low key.

In Seattle it gets dark and rainy fairly often if it's not summer, and so more than half the cars you see on the road will have their lights on. If I have the headlights on then I may turn the fogs on too, but not always. If it's particularly nasty or dark out then I will, I just don't want someone next to me to smash into me for not knowing I was there! Safety first cause I don't wanna have to kill someone for smashing Daddy's Baby! LOL [8D][:0][}:)][;)][8]

I wonder if the newer models have this;

Puddle lights or reflective thingies on the side of the doors, like on the Tahoes, so when the door is open at night, oncoming traffic can see you better.

I also want them to do that maintenence program that BMW has. Replacement even on wear and tear items. I miss it.

RE: Somthing I'd like to see..... explains alot. See, now this is why I love my good old W123. Lots of DIY pages so we can turn the fogs on manually with the park lights (like they should be) and won't expect anything automatic (save for the transmission).
