They are actually not proper fog lights, proper fog lights are yellow ! and they do not dazzle people in the daytime u cant even see the light up that high !
True, only real fog lights I've seen are those on the older Lexus ES's. We always used to drive around with our fogs on in our Nissan. But in the ML you can't turn on the fogs in AUTO mode.

Have to agree with Deathrattle, I'm not a fan of fog-lights without fog (or bushfires[:D]).
Maybe it's an English thing?[:I]

Nope, not true.

Plenty of clear fog lights out there.

It's a choice.

In Germany you'll get flashed if somehow the fog has lifted or the snow has stopped and you have stupidly forgotten to turn off your foglights.

Foglights all the time is for poseurs only.

^^^^^^

It's also the law in our Sceptered Isles, which is why the light switches are now interlinked on most UK spec cars.
Fog lights are not ALWAYS yellow, especially in the UK.The research into the superiority of yellow light over white in foul weather is inconclusive.

I like having the fogs on even when it's not foggy. The fog lights cover the area that the headlights do not reach, like on the sides.

Maybe your view with normal driving lights would be better if you sat on a cushion. When you are taller and old enough to drive, you will probably find that the illuminated section is quite well designed by the manufacturer.Small adjustments can be made with internal aim control. The simple fact is,fog lights dazzle and distract other drivers in normal conditions.

No cushion needed, the seats can be raised and lowered with the touch of a button.[:)]

You are right that they can be a distraction, but we haven't gotten any complaints yet.

*edit* I get my learners permit in a couple of months.[;)]

What's the point of driving with the fog lights on all the time? I know some people call them "driving lights" but I don't get it. Is it suppose to make the car look coll or something? [:o)]

Well, say it's kinda cloudy outside. You want to turn on some lights so people can see you, but say you have bi-xenon lights and you don't want to spend like $200 for new bulbs sooner.

No offense, but that like buying a Lambo and complaining it uses to much gas. Xenons have like over 5,000 hours of life span.
