That is the person (The Razz)i'm referring to...
To me, you'd have to be pretty dumb to try and pull some FAKE shit here, with so many REAL Mercedes experts around. Bolt-on ground effects and a little insignia do not make it an AMG. CLOWN! [:o)][:o)][:o)]
Shooting your mouth off like that will make you an instant clown yourself. Before AMG came into mercedes you could have any sort of work done and effectively your car was "Modified by AMG" You may notice that his car carries an original AMG badge of that era, very hard to find these days. It also has a genuine AMG bodykit. But in all honestly, you're wasting your time posting a thread to mock someones car, claiming they are trying to pull fake shit, complaining about their spelling and calling them a clown, what with "So many REAL Mercedes experts around", Ass Clown.

Posers are usually found out by someone.
I think this guy was probably just duped. GOD, my friends and I see so many fake badges here in California. Cobra, Saleen, M3, M5, ///AMG, A8 (Audi), and most if not all the little ricers mis-badge their cars and supposed "racing" equipment on board. It's hilarious!! Owning a Benz does not give you license to be a pretentious bastard.

Let it go.

The only thing "hilarious" is you claiming to have any friends with your piss-poor attitude.

Get an adjustment. We're here to help eachother.

AMG in the 126 era had no rhyme or reason for anything they did...very mysterious and undocumented. Hog wash to your internet searches. They don't mean anything. Hard enough finding some mainstream 126 things on the net, nevermind AMG vintage info. It'd carry more water if you said you went to a MB archive in Stuttgart looking for those models. But you didn't - let it go.

I am just curious, what in the hell does an old couple need AMG for or even be aware of it? I saw a w126 one day with a 560 badge and AMG with telephone and TV (like on old limos) antennas. It had running boards on the sides and the wheel spinners. I was impressed!

I thank most of you for defending me... It is a REAL AMG... If you Starcar can't find your own, don't go poking, or knocking somone elses... Like a fucken child you are... You fail to see somthing for what it is... I said they were and older couple, Not a dead couple... I beleave the husband was a doctor... And as far as I know Doctors ARENT show off's (sarcasim). Doctors and Mercedes go hand and hand here. Me thinks he wanted a Benz that nobody else had... So he ordered it from the factory, and had the AMG body kit put on it, so it would be a Mercedes NOBODY ELSE HAD... As I said before, in your so nicly quoted intro of mine so many months ago. When I first started posting to this board... I am the 3rd owner, all the info on the car I got from the second owner...

And now that I'm goin to loose it, it makes no diffrance anyway... So if ya don't like what USED to be my car, go FUCK YOURSELF!

RE: Is this for real? Someone says they have a 280SEL AMG.

'Starcar',
Like said above, PRE-1994 AMG cars could have had ANYTHING done to them. From only wheels or lowered suspension, or maybe just a steering wheel and some seats, to a whole modified engine, bodykit, brakes, etc.
There is absolutely NO degree in which a car would be a genuine AMG car. If it has an original fitted steering wheel by AMG, it's an AMG car. If it has a full tuned engine stage whatever, a bodykit and interior, it is as much an AMG car as the previous one.
And your insults are based on NOTHING. You don't know fellow member 'The Razz', nor have you ever met him before I presume, so you bringing him down on whatever ridiculous reason is just foolish.

Know your boundaries man.

RE: Is this for real? Someone says they have a 280SEL AMG.

Well said, boys.

I just thought of another thing though.

If he's allegidly so obsessed with mis-badging his car like starcar126 "thinks", why did he stop at adding an AMG badge? You'd think he'd jump and make it a 560SEL 6.0 AMG. LOL so much for your theory, starcar.

I completely believe that is a 280SEL AMG.

Very cool car Razz.

RE: Is this for real? Someone says they have a 280SEL AMG.

Posing is lying, but more importent, it is being so insecure or immature that you think you have to.
Don't any of you posers (losers) know that everyone is laughing at you? Who do you really think you're fooling? ANSWER: Not anyone. Uh... I think your NOS sticker just fell off your Vega... [:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)][:o)]
