RE: Question about mileage
In some measure, it depends on where you constructed your lease and how flexible they're willing to be. Smart thinking dealers will let you roll out early, split the different on the mileage charge and put you into a new car with higher limits and a shorter term at a higher rate.
I'm sure you've done the math - - -you've got to average less than 700 miles a month to stay under your limit. At your current mileage use, you'll pay three grand in overages.
If your high use rate is forecast to continue, I'd suggest talking with the dealer now about options. If they're not helpful, perhaps you can get someone to assume your lease, and start over - -or simply buy.
My wife drives more than 20k/year so leasing is out of the question for us. We end up buying a 1 year old Benz, drive it until the miles approach 80-100k, then sell it and start again - -but we've got the benefit of writing the miles off to her business.
