SL320 (R129) Xenon lights don't autoleveling, why???

I have a SL320 (R129) with xenon. Yesterday, the autoleveling system of the xenon bulbs don't work. I haven't done anything. The lights work fine, but they aim at the ground, do not raise when igniting.

Why? What can I do? May be a fuse? May be a sensor? What and where I can do to repair it????? I haven't done anything...

Thank you for your help.

RE: SL320 (R129) Xenon lights don't autoleveling, why???

Hi, do you mean that the problem is permanent, both lights direct to ground and switching off/on does not help?

On my W211 one of the xenons stay tuned down after switching on but switching engine off/on resumes normal operation. The intermittent problem only appears a couple of times per year.

The lights seem to have a self-calibrating feature, must be a stepping electricity motor driven control without active feedback. I have no glue why it sometimes fails to recover normal operating position, the problem has been so infrequent that I haven't bothered figuring out why it happens. Cannot help if you have a (more) permanent problem.
