Fog Lights

I am putting fog lights on my 2001 ML320. Can someone please tell me know where do I plug them in so they will work off the factory dash switch? I was told there is a plug behind the head light assemblies. However, I have been unable to find out exactly where they plug in. Performance Products sells a light kit that is suppose to directly plug into these receptacles. But I want some more info before I make the purchase.

RE: Fog Lights

I dont know about a 01, but my ex 99 had a two wire connector behind the headlamp/washer reseroir tank it had a plastic cap over it. My 99 had the bulbs for the fogs removed in the headlamps since it did not meet FL DOT. I had to go to the dealer and tell them I was hooking up the auxilliary lights mounted on the bar before they activated the feature. That cable is in parrallel to the headlamp mounted bulbs, I dont know when they changed, but it is a computer driven switch from the "All Activity" computer and had a bulb in the dash and on the switch that can be activated (some did not like the dash indicator). The connector is what they call a "Weather Pak" connector at all good auto stores. There was some rumbling about overloading using the bulbs and the aux.
The 163 page might shed some light, I dont usually go there due to my ML disatisfaction. MB sold a cable for their lights you might finfd one at some MB body shops if they repaced the auxlights but not the cable I found one.
