Has anyone incountered a mildew smell coming from their AC vents? Also found writing on my sunroof that you can only see when you blow hot air on it and it reads "DAMAGED FRAME" with an arrow pointing towards the corner of the sunroof?? I have taken it in to the shop 2 times for the odor and they say it's common but yet have done nothing to fix it. They also can not find paper work stating that the suunroof had actually been repaired prior to my purchasing the vehicle. The dealership is giving me a hard time about replacing the ML. I have only had it a few months. Who wants to drive a mold infested car with a damaged sunroof? I've had other issues as well including a leak in my glove box and replacement of the upper light console because my lights and wipers would not function properly??? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Advice!!!

Can you give a little more information? Did you purchase this car new or used. If used did you run a carfax on it? The damaged frame writing on the sunroof although unusual to be written on the glass may actually refer to "frame damage" which is usually announced at the wholesale auctions if the vehicle has been wrecked. "Frame Damage" is usually written on the windshield when the vehicle runs through the sale! The odor in the a/c may be caused by the accumulation of moisture in the system-I've seen postings on the forum for other models where it's recommended to turn the system to the rest position to 'DRY THE SYSTEM OUT" What concerns me is the leak in the glove box. Where did the leak originate. Was it from the windshield or the HVAC system? Frame damage and leaks could mean a shoddy repair job from a previous accident!

RE: Advice!!!

Also in most states it is illegal to sell a salvage vehicle without disclosing it. If was totalled, then repaired without disclosure at the time of purchase you might have a slam dunk on the dealer.
