RE: integreted phone compatibility Timeport 8367 and a Timeport 8767 (Sprint and Verizon
Peter, Thanks for responding. The 2001 C Class has the MB Timeport operational on Sprint. The 2002 E I just bought has the MB Timeport that goes to Verizon when turned on and was with that service by the previous owner. I pluged that phone in the C class and it worked - I was able to contact Verizon to inquire about using their service. However, our hand helds that we carry around are on Cingular and so I was wondering if I found used MB Timeports on ebay that work on Cingular, if thay would work with the car without having to change anything in the car electronics. The cradle is not an isuse since they are both the same.
Along those lines, I noticed that the Timeports that work on Cingular are listed as TDMA as opposed to CDMA on the phones I have. On e-bay I noticed that one was a P8097 that worked on ATT/Cingular and the other was a P8197 that worked on Cingular. One one it said MB on the Rubber part but the ad said that if power up with the word Motorola. And lastly, if the phone was made for BMW for example, will that work with MB?
