RPM increases by itself

Hi folks, I am new to this site and I like it a lot. I have a 1985 380SE with 102k miles. It is a very clean car. Recently the engine RPM goes up and down randomly. This model has electronic idle adjuster. Any one had this problem before? I suspect that the electronic idler is going out. Fuel pump, filter, accumulator injectors, dist. cap, spark plug wires are all new.

Thanks for your help.[:(]

Sounds to me like you have a crack in a vacuum hose somewhere.Try the search function to get tips on diagnosis.
