Hey guys I'm new to the forums, just wanted to say hello to everyone. The car isn't mine it's my fathers but I kind of know a little bit more about automotive things than he does so i just thought i'd join this forum and learn what i can about it. This is our first mercedes im very excited. Brand new 2006 slk 55 amg metallic black. Anyways I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome. Post some pictures!!! You will find this site to be a wealth of knowledge (I hope). If you have not already, you might want to visit the forum specific to your mb. I'm not sure what chassis code yours is, but I am sure you will figure it out.
