RE: Where can I find a scale model of my car?
Don't give up!!! Keep searching ebay Germany... it may take some time, but I'm telling you, it is more than worth it. The Revell Germany 240D I won is in 1:18th scale, and the detailing is VERY good, for a die-cast model. The wood strip on the dash and center console is duplicated, as are all the controls. The steering wheel moves the front two wheels, and the hood, trunk, and two front doors open. The simulated chrome parts are bright and shiny, and the paint is well-applied.
It took me a LONG time to finally track down and win the 300E plastic police kit, which is in 1:24 scale, but man, what a joy it was to finally have won it! Keep looking, at least once a week, and you will eventually locate the model you want.
Remember also, that Germany is where Mercedeses are built... for this reason, once in a while, a retired MBZ factory or dealership employee may offer some models from his personal collection for sale on the site. When I visited the MBZ factory, they had an area with MANY scale models of the W123 and W124 series, as well as the 190 series. And they were HIGHLY detailed. Sometimes, you see some of these models up for auction, but the chances of finding one are much better on the German site.
I just want to say keep trying, and don't give up!
