RE: Where can I find a scale model of my car?
Heh... it is indeed, quite the challenge trying to find a scale model of a Mercedes these days! I recently tried what seemed like FOREVER, to try and locate a scale model of a W124 300E. Finally, I located a plastic kit of a 300E police car, on ebay Germany, and had my friend who was in Germany via the USAF, ship it to me here in the USA.
I also just recently won an ebay auction for a scale model (1:18 scale) of a W123 240D, again, on ebay's German site. It seems that your best bet would be to do the following:
Go to: http://www.ebay.de
Type in the word "Mercedes", and then your car's MODEL NUMBER for instance, W124, or 300E. That should be the extent of your search. The results will be profuse, but included, will be ANY model kits pertaining to your car's chassis style or body style. Most hits come from Revell Germany, and they are your best chance for finding a scale model of a Mercedes. Corgi also used to have some GREAT die-cast MBZ cars, and I still have quite a few from when I was in Germany, visiting my cousins.
Just remember... ebay GERMANY!!! That's your BEST chance! www.ebay.de . Good luck... I hope you find what you are looking for!
