TIPS ON SOFT TOP CARE

Looking for some qualified tips on taking care
of the convertible top on my 500SL. I seldom
run the hardtop since I only drive in excellent
weather but now we're heading into winter. Are
there treatments/products that enhance it's looks, extend the life of the top in use as well as during
storage. As mentioned above looking for qualified
tips from experience.

THANKS

RE: TIPS ON SOFT TOP CARE

Don't know if this helps. I got it off the Detailing and Car Care forum.

Try doing a search on soft-tops there as well.

RE: TIPS ON SOFT TOP CARE

Did little to help....Guess that may have been
the better forum to post. Kindof a 50/50 deal.
Some say do pretty much nothing other say use
cleaners/treatments. I have to believe there
are products today that would maintain
and extend the tops life. THANKS

The dealer also sells similiar rag top sprays, but assume the aftermarket stuff is just as good.

Navigate over to 107 forum and look at sticky... Flyboyike's missus has some excellent information listed there... She/he welcome questions as well.

Oops! I did not read closely... Link above takes you there.

Where is it again that we are going... And why are we in a handbasket?
