WINDOWS WILL NOT GO DOWN ON '87 300TD

None of the windows will work on my '87 300TD. I have replaced the lock-out switch and the fuses. Nothing helps. Any suggestions? I am desperate!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. Where is the relay located?

If it is like the 300E the relays should be right behind your fuses in the engine compartment, just unscrew the lid behind it. Don't just check the fuses, replace them. On mine they looked fine and when I pulled them out they fell apart. Also, I bought one relay at the dealer for $28.00 and just keep pulling one relay at a time till I found the bad one. Parts mgr. and I did it right in the parking lot. Worth the time we found 3 that weren't working, before I got there I thought I had an electrical nightmare.

Good Luck

In my 300CD the problem was window lifters, for which I got a quote of around $300.
