New member - looking for guidance on 190D cylinder head work

Been running an '85 190 (1997cc) Diesel for a few months. Its only done 120,000 miles and its not overheating - still runs fine. No water in the oil yet but there is a very small amount of oil creeping into the coolant header tank.

Guess its the front part of the head gasket but no obvious leaks or problems yet.

I'm trying to find on the net the estimated 'man hours' time for a head change on one of these, so that I know I'm not being ripped off. Also I've heard that you can get a partial gasket fix without having to take the head off? Any ideas.

As I say the car is running perfectly, no pressure when cold etc so the system is intact, but obviously I want to get the work done before it throws up a major overheat and warps the head. Also is there any temporary fix that will work in the meantime??
