Idle adjustment on 380se

Hello,I recently replaced the air filter on my 1985 380se and noticed the intake flap to be quite dirty so i used some combustion chamber cleaner spray and sprayed some inside to clean out some of the build up. After i did this i noticed the engine would idle at around 1100-1200rpm compared to 700rpm before. Im assuming this is because of the oil build up that was there has been cleaned away and has caused the idle to rise? Is there any type of idle adjustment that would allow me to lower the idle?

RE: Idle adjustment on 380se

Please go to the 126 forum and search for ‘high idle.’

That’s the airflow sensor plate, btw; you may have an air leak or the idle control valve has failed – purely coincidental to your spraying, I’m sure.
