RE: Combo switch- can I fix it?
After all the work to remove the switch, disassemble, clean/repair, reassemble, reinstall switch...... Wouldn't it be too bad if, after that, you found you couldn't repair it.......? Or perhaps even find yourself unable to drive the car do to some little switch phramus that went sproing or broke during the switchectomy?
A replacement new switch isn't too, too expensive, and considering the critical safety items governed by it (wiper, hi - low beam control, turn signals + speed control) I'd be inclined to replace it. After all, it is more than 20 years old and seen a lot of use.
At least I'd know I did the best repair possible by replacing the switch.
