Looking for an MB mechanic in San Antonio/Austin/Houston area

Hello everyone. I have just bought a 1983 380SL and before I get to fully enjoy this beautiful piece of machinery I would like to have a a good mechanic take a closer look at what the car might need. My main concern is the cursed single chain timing belt. I am having trouble finding a knowledgeable mechanic that I could trust. If anyone out there knows one in my area, please let me know. I live in San Antonio, TX, but would drive to Austin or Houston if the guy is worth it. Thank you in advance and have a good day.

RE: Looking for an MB mechanic in San Antonio/Austin/Houston area

Absolutely! I do know the most honourable M-B mechanics in San Antonio and they only work on Mercedes and Volvos.

I don't have access to a phone book at the moment (for specific address/tel number), but it is Global Automotive on Babcock Rd in NW San Antonio, past the Medical Center.

They serviced my vehicles (obviously M-Bs and Volvos) since the early 90s. I have sent many customers to them through the years and everyone has been satisfied with their work and fair prices.

The best of luck to you and your 'baby'. (^.^)
