what's the trick to getting good cust. svc?

my 06 s500 went into dealer to have driver's seat fixed...it is loose and shifts around on cornering. they offered me a Taurus through Enterprise for the day, when I complained about turning in a $100k+ car for a Taurus, they gave me a c240 with coffee stains all over the interior and it smelled.

they did a lot of work, but ultimately the problem remains. i faxed a letter to the service advisor and cc'd Office of Paul Juron @ MBUSA.

what else should i do from here? my main beef is that if they need the car for a few days, i don't want a c240 or Taurus to replace it.

unfortunately getting anything over Enterprise\C-class is pure luck. I was given a hundai when i brought my SLK for service - it's interesting to try other car for a day.

They gave me a fully loaded '05 ML500 with only 2k miles. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
btw, I ended up spending $20 a day in gas just to get to work.[:o)]

I got an E-Class for my C's service.

I guess it all depends upon the dealership.

I got a shuttle ride on last service. Before that, I got a ML350 with leather and Navigation. The interior was a lot plusher but I was glad to get mine back!

I do enjoy rallying crappy rentals, in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
