Scheduled maintenance...some questions

I have heard that scheduled maint. can be quite expensive. I dont have a problem with that but would like to know how often the vehicle is supposed to be serviced and what services are performed for the price. My Wife and I got our cars 1 day apart almost a month ago. We didnt buy them from a Mercedes dealership and they didnt come with a manual or service record. Thanks for your help! Carey

Hi BatBenz,

You didn't mention the mileage on the vehicles.

If you don't have any service records, you may want to have one of the major services done (which is usually every 60K miles or 4 years) that changes all the fluids and filters.

Both your cars may have the Flexible Service System (FSS) that requires maintanance based on usuage computed by the cars ECU and not actual mileage.

Hope that helps some.

RE: Scheduled maintenance...some questions

You've got to get the owner's manuals for your cars so you know what needs to be done when. A Mercedes doesn't usually respond well to deferred maintenance. Call MBUSA at 800-FOR-MERC(edes). They stock them.
