Windscreen demister not blowing air up

When I turn the dial to blow air onto the windscreen (even with the fan full speed) no air is directed up. The air flow continues from the dashboard centre and side vents. I can direct the air into the footwells. Anyone know what could be up with it?

Most likely have a vacuum hose off a fitting or a bad vacuum leak.

It is likely in the engine compartment where it could be pulled off accidently. Look for a box that resembles an egg crate.
