Should I buy a 1994 build s320 ?

I have the opportunity to buy a 1994 build S320 with 138000 ks. 1 owner, from new, but the car has left the original area where it was purchased and lived, and turned up 2000 ks away for sale at a BARGAIN price, actually under lower trade price.
Since I know nothing about these lovely machines, would anyone please advise me as to whether this may be "a pig in a poke", "lemon" or could it be a bargain. The dealer is a general dealer of used cars and has said he bought it right. I would appreciate comments from you WISEMEN please before I make a silly booboo.

RE: Should I buy a 1994 build s320 ?

Sevice records are important. The early 140 body suffered from some issues such as AC evap 3,000$, closing assist pump 800$, bose amp 600$, window regulators. Scan the forum, they are well built cars but expensive to maintain. I would suspect it needs suspension bushings by now!
I dont know about your dealer, but in the US they would not tell you the "bought it right" they would just try and make more money. I would see if they will let you take it to a shop, or MB dealer, for a check up before buying

Although the M104 is a wonderful engine and the 140 is an elegant car I’d pass on all 140s – just too much of a risk.

I see way too many 140s driving around in Florida in the summer with the windows open.
