RE: W210 - petrol versus diesel

I would think that a diesel would be a good choice since diesel and kerosene are not that far removed. In my 86 300SDL, the owners manual provides ratios for mixing kerosene and diesel fuel if diesel is unavailable. Diesel fuel and kerosene are similar enough you could probably mix them or let them get unintentionally mixed for you and get away with it. I don't know the effect of kerosene in a gasoline engine, but gas is farther removed from kerosene than diesel is.

Go to greasecar.com's forum site. This site is very knowledgeable regarding what fun stuff one can put into a diesel tank!

Hi
To the Host or site moderator

Any reason why the B Class is tucked in with the Vans & Trucks would have thought it more appropriate to be in with the Sedan Forum along with the A Class etc. I thought at first glance that the B Class wasn't listed. [:)] Great forum though. [:)]
(N.B. No disrespect intended to the van & truck owners)

Please take the time to see what the chassis code is for your car and post on that respective forum.

You'll get answers faster and most importantly interact with other members who have the same vehicle.

If you don't know your chassis code, try using our model guide on top or browse through the forum list.
Hello everyone, I'm new here (first time posting to a message board)...Please be patient. I'm in the proccess of buying a 1976 280c (w114) and will need some help with it. I had a 1972 250c that I loved, was nearly done on resto and the ex took it along with the vintage AMG wheels. That will be my first quest, to find a set of 16" AMG or similar 5 spoke wheels for the new car, also will need some help hunting down suspension parts (sway bars, springs, etc.)

Thank you.

It is like the Kind of the road, large, powerful and luxurious. It is a heavy car but has an enigine with enough power to throw it around. We've avoided one or two crashes simply due to it's manuvrability at speed, not something you'd expect from such a chunky vehicle. The interior is extremely comfortable. Classic, high tech design, albeit a couple of years old, it is certainly not out of date and beats the interior facilities of most of the present new cars hands down. It is extrememly spacious with big seats and the boot is big enough to hold a years worth of shopping. This is a powerful vehicle but if you're hoping not to stand out, this is not the vehicle for you. It's certainly not a show toy but it's not discreet either. Now, second hand S-320s won't set you back too much as when we first bought it so it is definatly worth a good look if you're looking for a big family vehicle, or a limosine.

See? There you go again with all the thinking!! Quit thinking and start thanking my friend!

--this GBS guy is quite the character I do recommend reading his posts in the 500sel AMG topic in the 126 section...quite good stuff--
