Question !!

Hi All,

I'm trading in my 2004 C230 Kompressor 2D Coupe for a bigger Sedan or even SUV. Its absolutely horrible in the snow during winter, and I want to be in a bigger car. Plus, I will be traveling alot to Vermont, since we just bought a Ski House there for the winter.
I have a spending limit on what I can get for a new car, i think it would be great if i could get a car with exact trade-in exchange for my car..or could spend a little more than what i get for my car.

Anyways....Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions, on what 2004-2006, cars are out, that are good?

RE: Question !!

if snow traction is very importnt - you need AWD car.

check out: Subaru, BMW 330Xi, Mercedes 4matic and Audi

Nice article about audi

RE: Question !!

if deep snow is a genuine concern, I'd be focusing on an SUV or something that has groud clearance + AWD. Just my $.03.

What kind of tires were on the car? A larger vehicle won't necessarily help without the proper tires.

RE: Question !!

The tires are Continental Brand.

We've gone through the MB Dealership where I got my car from..and they said if you put snow tires on your car, it might help a bit, but id still rather be in a bigger sedan even SUV. Bc I will be traveling out..and I definitely know my car that i have now will not handle being in VT.

If you want to blaze the trail in snow - get an Mercedes ML or G, you want a great sedan with awesome traction in snow - get Mercedes 4matic, or Audi - Audis are nice cars, but Audi dealers such a pain to deal with.
