84 300 Turbo Diesel problem

I dunno if this is a serious problem or not but the ignition light that has to go off before i can start the engine has stopped turning on when I'm starting up the engine. I've heard people say its a problem with the glow plugs. Can I keep driving the car, it is a little unsettling.

You're talking about the yellow glow plug light? If so, that means that you likely have a bad glow plug. The car may be harder to start now, but you won't do any damage by driving it. Glow plugs are very easy to chack and relatively cheap to replace.

if it is harder to start, does it mean it will suddenly just die when i'm in some parking lot?

It is likely that once you get it started, it will continue to run fine. But if you're having trouble starting it, get the glow plugs checked. It is very easy and ought to be cheap if you have someone else do it.
