RE: Multiple problems with my 1986 300E
I have 211,000 miles thus far. Though, I have replaced almost all systems in the past three years. i.e.: Suspension Front & Rear with all bushings, ball joints & shocks. Brakes front & rear with new calipers and rotors. Alternator, Battery & Complete front light assemblies. Both radiators and the big electric cooling fan as well as the mechanical clutch fan, pully and water pump. Two big motor mounts and a strut type motor mount near the water pump. The electric water pump mounted near the coolant overflow resevoir. Both flex joints on drive shaft. Three wheels inner & outer bearings. Air conditioning compressor and freon conversion. Power window motors/regulators. Power seat motors front passenger side. Complete exhaust system, Fuel Pump & I am sure if I continue to think I could find more.
This automobile is in awesome condition I always burn premium fuel at 91 or higher octane usually 93. I do believe that it is probably a fuel supply/mixture issue since the new plugs help it start easier but it still runs rough until it warms up.
I wish I had a shop manual or CD. Where are the fuel pump & fuel pressure regulator?
Thanks for your reply.
