hesitation around 1.5-2.5 RPM

I've recently got a tune-up: new plugs, distributor (wires and everything), new air and fuel filters, and new gaskets around the differential, but the my '89 300E still seems to hesitate when I put the pedal down particularly around the 1.5 -2.5 rpms, resulting in a very slow acceleration. Yet at other times, particularly when the car is very warm it seems to run a bit better. Any suggestions would be of great help.
