Poor paint job on my 2005 C230 Kompressor
I own a 2005 C230 Sport Sedan. According to MB officials, the 2005 model is supposed to benefit from a new paint technology that imbeds microscopic ceramic flakes in the clear coat finish, thus increasing its resistance to chipping and degradation over time.
But what I find is a lot of stone chips on the front bumper/apron and hood, more so than what a 7-month old car should have. There are even a few chips high up on the side of the rear door! I don't know how they got there. I have used touch-up paint to lessen these beauty spots, but I'm really worry how many more stone chips I'm going to get in future.
Do any of you encounter similar stone chip problem that I have? What can you do about them apart from applying touch-up paint? Please give me your opinion & advice.
