RE: 17" rims - replace mystery rim or buy new set?
I've seen those on ebay before, if you're not in a rush I know they'll show up again and I'll be happy to PM you if I see them. At the same time you can look at the inside of the rim and get the part number off it, and then google the PN and you may find it online. I can't remember the name of the company but there are some that sell MBZ wheels for a moderately discounted retail, $300-$400 or so. I found them by doing such a search some time ago.
Of course, damaging a wheel is always the opportunity to change the look anyway. :) And if you need new tires, too, then 18s look awesome and you don't sacrifice much in the way of ride quality.
Good luck and let me know if you want me to watch for your wheel.
